PERSONAL INFORMATION
We need some personal information from site visitors in order for them to fully use MailPets.com's site features. All personal information is collected only via explicit entry by site visitors directly, and is entirely optional.
We collect:
- Email Address
In order to track pets you create in our system, you need to create a unique ID with us for logging in. For this, we use your email address, since it is unique to you and is needed to provide you with your password should you lose it!
MailPets.com will never supply your email address to any party for any reason, short of a court order. MailPets.com itself will only send you important account-related emails, such as a password request, transaction receipts, and the like. MailPets.com
does reserve the right in the future to send new feature announcements, but you may opt-out of receiving those from the site. MailPets.com will only ever sent plain-text formatted email.
- Name
Your name is optional. MailPets.com will never supply your name or mailing address to any party for any reason, short of a court order. You may delete your name out of our system at any time through the web site and it will permanently erase all record of it.
BROWSING INFORMATION
When visiting the MailPets.com web site, standard "browser environment variables" and page views are logged. The browser environment variables include browser software, operating system, ip address and referring link. MailPets.com reserves the right to
analyze these logs for research and development purposes. However, MailPets.com will not make any attempt to tie specific browsing information to specific personal information.
COOKIES
The MailPets.com web site uses a "browser cookie" to maintain a record of what account your browser has access to. The cookie does nothing else and provides no tracking information of any kind to MailPets.com. You may disable cookies in most browsers.
However, doing so will disable your ability to log in to an account at MailPets.com. You may of course still browse the non-account-related features of the site without cookies turned on.
