WHAT IS THIS?

MailPets is a free service that sets your pet up with a real email address! The amazing thing is, your pet will read and respond (in their own language) to emails you send them at their mailpets.com address! You can choose how often your pet checks their email and even customize their style of response! You can even have your pets email forwarded to you, and then you can respond "for" them.. and your response will be translated into their language automatically (with a link to read the original message).

WHY WOULD I WANT THIS?

Just for fun! It's pretty neat, really! Why not try it out.. just email Salt and I promise he'll reply right away (he's always checking his email, that dog)!

HOW DO I CHECK MY PETS MAIL?

It depends.. you can set mail to your pet to either be forwarded to you or automatically answered by them (randomly). If they automatically answer it, you can't read the mail sent to them. If you have it forwarded to you, you just read it in your regular email account (and reply using the link given in the email).

HOW CAN I FIGURE OUT WHAT MY PET WROTE ME?

You can't! There's no real message behind it.. unless of course you sent the message yourself using our site.. for those messages there will be a link to translate the message at the end! If there's no link, there's no actual meaning behind the email, it was just computer-generated for your pet!

You can change whether you write the replies for your pet or just have our computer do it by using the "Edit" link (click Continue once to get to that part) for your pet from the main page.

HOW DO I UNSUBSCRIBE?

Easy, just delete all your pets.. go to the main page, log in if you're not already, then click "delete" for each pet.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

MailPets is totally free!

HOW DO MY PETS CHECK THEIR EMAIL AT MAILPETS.COM?

That is a secret of the pet world not to be understood by us mere humans! But relax... you don't have to do anything. It turns out Mother Nature bestowed on all pets the natural ability to check email!

HOW OFTEN DO MY PETS CHECK THEIR EMAIL?

It depends on how often you want them to! When creating an account you can set under the "Email Habits" area the frequency you'd like. "Constantly" means they'll always reply within 5 minutes. "Daily" means they'll reply every morning around 7:30 Eastern time (US). And "about once a week" and "about once a month" mean exactly that! You can change your pet's "Email Habits" by clicking the "Edit" link for them on the main page, and then clicking the "Continue..." button once.

HOW DO I ADD/CHANGE MY PET'S MAILPETS.COM PICTURE?

Just go to the MailPets.com homepage and log in on the right. Then, click the "Edit" link for your pet. Then, enter the URL for their new picture (something like http://www.domain.com/images/picture.jpg) in the "Picture URL" field, click "Continue..." and you're done!

HOW DO I DELETE/END MY ACCOUNT/PET(S)?

Just go to the MailPets.com homepage and log in on the right. Then, click the "Delete" link for each pet you don't want anymore. Once you have no more pets, your account is essentially deleted.. you won't receive any more emails from your pets!
